G.H.Q Spirits
G.H.Q Gin, which stands for General Head Quarters, was launched during lockdown in 2020 after founder James McNeill closed his business in London. The brand is a salute to the Armed Forces and is inspired by James' grandmother, Lena Lowe, who was a dispatch rider during WWII and whose three sons served in the RAF, British Army and the SAS. Distilled at the Lost Loch Distillery in the Cairngorms, G.H.Q Gin was developed to be a classic London Dry Gin but with a twist South East Asian botanicals, inspired by the aromas and flavours of Hong Kong where James' family had been stationed.

Meet the Makers
G.H.Q. (General Head Quarters) was the department my Gran worked for. There are so many references to this in culture that it’s a readily identifiable name. I was very lucky to be able to have obtained the Trademark for it in the UK and several international territories. G.H.Q. Gin is all about the taste. It’s your knee length A-line dress with puff-shoulders and peep-toe heels. It’s your navy blue victory suit with that brown trilby. It is a celebration of everything that made us great – with ice and a slice on the top." - Founder, James McNeill
