Griffiths Brothers Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Griffiths Brothers Gin
Griffiths Brothers Gin is the creation of brothers Alex and Drew Griffiths, and was launched in 2017. Their distillery is based in Penn Street, near Amersham in Buckinghamshire, and is in an unit that is part of a former factory that made Mosquito planes in WW2. The gin is cold distilled in-house using a rotary evaporator (named Roberta), with each botanical being distilled at a low temperature, rather than being heated in the style of traditional distilling. Griffiths Brothers Gin features 13 botanicals, including bay laurel, barberries, orange blossom and elderflower. The Gin Guide says... Griffiths Brothers Gin is clean and smooth, and the depth of flavour and complexity is exceptional and well-balanced. Alex and Drew have found the ideal balance between decipherable character and classy subtlety. When tasted neat, the flavour develops and takes you on a journey from zesty citrus and fragrant orange blossom and elderflower, to herbaceous and earthy notes from bay laurel and liqourice root. Best enjoyed chilled and over ice or in a G&T. Garnish: Orange or Bay Leaf. You Might Also Like... For another gin from the home counties countryside, try Silent Pool Gin and Anno Gin from Kent. |

Meet the Makers"If you haven’t tried cold distilled gin, there is a distinct difference in the flavour. Combined with the botanical combination we have used, we believe we have made our own mark. "
