About Beckett's Gin
Beckett's Gin (Type 1097) was launched by Neil Beckett in 2014 after establishing the Kingston Distillery in 2013. It features 6 botanicals including mint grown in Kingston-Upon-Thames and juniper handpicked on Box Hill in Surrey with permission from the National Trust and Natural England. As such, Beckett's Gin promotes itself as the only gin in the world to be infused with juniper berries from England. Beckett's Gin is reciprocating by developing a conservation project with the Forestry Commission to create a sustainable population of juniper in Surrey.
The Gin Guide says... Beckett's Gin is beautifully well-balanced. In one sip you'll identify crisp, fresh and sweet characteristics as well as smooth, warm and bitter notes. Overall, Beckett's Gin is juniper-led, light and refreshing thanks to the zesty citrus and mint. Mint isn't the easiest botanical to utilise and again the balance is ideal with the mint adding to the personality of the gin without dominating it. With the use of English juniper and the conservation projects alongside it, Neil Beckett has developed a gin that delivers both in the gin itself and beyond.
