Black Cat Distillery
|
Black Cat Distillery was founded in 2022 by Clare Jeremy and her husband Phil Harrison, having previously owned a specialist Belgian Beer bar in Keswick. The distillery is based at Brougham Hall, a 14th Century fortified hall located between Brougham Castle, Brocavum Roman fort, and the Neolithic site of Mayburgh Henge. As well as offering Gin Making Workshops, the Black Cat Gin range has grown to include their London Dry Gin, Pink Peppercorn & Pomegranate Gin, Mediterranean Herb & Olive Gin, and Christmas Gin.

Meet the Makers
"Nestled in the peace and serenity of the Eden Valley, Black Cat Distillery can be found at the magnificent partially restored 14th century fortified hall at Brougham. We are surrounded by the echoes of the past, within a stone's throw of Neolithic sites, Roman forts and Norman Castles. The inspiration behind Black Cat Gin’s recipe fuses traditional techniques and Southern Asiatic and European botanicals with hints of Africa to create modern and elegant flavours. We tie together these cosmopolitan influences with water that runs through the Lakeland fells and contains the very soul of the Lake District." - Clare Jeremy, Founder
