About Black Powder Gin Company

Black Powder Distillery was established in 2016 by Anthony Dalnas and his Father-in-Law and farmer, John Loftus. The distillery is set in the Lancashire countryside and produces an extensive range of gins, flavoured gins, and gin liqueurs, all made using natural products and without artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives. The distillery also boasts a substantial events space and hosts large scale events, wedding receptions, tours and cocktail masterclasses.

Sidelock London Dry Gin - Review

Tasting Notes: Aromas of juniper, earthy spice and fragrant florals. Floral on the palate with juniper, grapefruit citrus and soothing undertones. A finish of peppery spice, subtly fruitiness and lingering herbal notes of chamomile.
Serving Suggestion / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Pink Grapefruit.
The Gin Guide Review:
Sidelock Gin combines the heartiness of earthy, peppery spice and citrus with delicate florals and soft chamomile. The result is a gin with plentiful body and depth while also having a softer side. With the addition of Tonic Water showcases a beautiful blend of flavours as the piney juniper is elevated, the florals soften and the peppery cubebs and grains of paradise add 'oomph' even when mixed. ​- Paul Jackson, 2021

Tasting Notes: Aromas of deep, warming spice, juniper and orange citrus. Juniper and citrus on the palate with chamomile and rooty notes leading into pepperiness. A finish of warming and peppery spice with clovers and bittersweet citrus.

Flintlock Gin is full flavoured and botanically intense gin with an enjoyably oily mouthfeel. There's a richness of warming, deep and peppery spice from cloves, cubebs and grains of paradise which combine neatly with juniper and bittersweet orange citrus.
