Boxer Gin - Review & Tasting Notes
About Boxer Gin
Boxer Gin is the creation of Greenbox Drinks, also known for Element 29 Vodka which is used as the base spirit for Boxer Gin. The gin is third-party distilled at Langley Distillery near Birmingham where the botanicals are first macerated for 8 hours before distillation in a century old copper pot still. After distillation, essential oils from bergamot peel and fresh Himalayan juniper berries are added along with spring water from Sussex. The bergamot peel is cold pressed, while the fresh juniper is distilled for 20 hours at source in the Himalayas. Boxer Gin is also the world's first refill gin, achieved by transporting the gin in 'wine box' style packaging for venues to refill their bottles and cut down on the financial and environmental costs of the production and recycling of the glass bottles. The Gin Guide Review As you'd hope from the first impression of the bottle, Boxer Gin is vibrant and punchy. The trio of citrus botanicals stand out vibrantly and are well-balanced with prominent juniper and the spice botanicals humming in the background to create a truly rounded gin. Boxer Gin makes a deliciously crisp and fresh gin and tonic, with the flavours holding up very impressively with a mixer. - Paul Jackson, 2016 You Might Also Like...
