Burrell's Dry Gin - Review & Tasting Notes

The Gin Guide Review
Burrell's Gin is smooth, crisp and light, bringing together a classic core with contemporary rural botanicals. It is fragrant and enticing on the nose with juniper, citrus peels, floral elderflower and underlying earthiness and peppery notes. On the palate, fruity apple and elderflower are well paired and the finish sees peppery notes, cassia, citrus fruits and coriander seeds emerge further, as well as a lingering herbaceous note of bay. With the addition of tonic it is light, fruity and floral, with gentle citrus, earthy soft spice and juniper. It makes for a fresh, fragrant and summery G&T that pleasingly delivers the character of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Citrus fruits and peels make for ideal garnish starting points. - Paul Jackson, 2020 |

Meet the Maker
Distiller, Tristan Jorgensen
"The distillery is in the garden of my house, which means my commute to work each morning takes approximately 35 steps. Also in the garden are several elder bushes and 3 apple trees, which are key botanicals for our Burrell’s Dry Gin. Inside the distillery we have Angelica, she is our 120L copper pot still, with vapour infusion basket and a 6-plate rectification column as well." |
