Curio Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Curio Gin
Curio Rock Samphire Gin was launched by husband and wife team William and Rubina Tyler-Street in 2014. The couple set up Curio Spirits Company in Mullion, Cornwall in 2012 and instructed the help of master distillers to help develop their distillery and first spirits. William overseas the in-house gin operation whilst Rubina manages Curio's vodkas. Curio Gin features 15 botanicals, including hand foraged rock samphire from the cliffs of Cornwall and seaweed sourced from The Cornish Seaweed Company, as well as cornish spring water. The Gin Guide says... When a gin focuses on a single botanical in its branding, there is always the concern that the gin itself will be somewhat one-dimensional, however Curio Gin quickly puts this thought to bed. On the palate the rock samphire and seaweed flavours give a burst of flavour and are used in excellent balance alongside juniper, citrus and spice from the cinnamon and star anise. Curio Gin has a delicate and light character that make it extremely enjoyable with a splash of tonic. - Reviewer: Paul Jackson - 2016 You Might Also Like...
