Forager's Black Label Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Forager's Black Label Gin
Forager's Gin is the creation of Snowdonia Distillery which launched in 2015 with a ethos of focusing on sustainability and quality rather than quantity. Forager's Black Label was launched in 2016 and is produced in-house in small batches of up to 200 bottles per week, using a Hungarian copper pot still, water filtered through the Snowdownian granite, and just 2 local botanicals which are macerated for over 6 weeks. The two local botanicals are Sea Buckthorn and juniper, which Snowdonia Distillery have foragers' rights to pick and use in their gins. The Gin Guide says... Forager's Black Label Gin proves that less can be more when it comes to botanicals. With just 2 botanicals, Forager's Gin delivers impressive depth of flavour and is smooth, clean and full-bodied. The Sea Buckthorn brings rich and warming characteristics to the gin and marries beautifully with bold juniper. You Might Also Like... Try Forager's Yellow Label Gin and also Rock Rose Gin for another gin featuring Sea Buckthorn. |
