Frankie & Eileen's
Frankie & Eileen’s Craft Gin was founded in 2018 in Randalstown, Co. Antrim, by the Mitchell family, built on a legacy of supplying high-quality brewing ingredients across Ireland. The brand takes personal inspiration and is named after Deborah & Jonathan Mitchell's two grandmothers, Frankie from Belfast and Eileen from the Glens of Antrim. This blend of cultures and geographies is represented in both the bottle design and the botanical recipe. The gin aims to bridge classic tradition with local identity and is distilled slowly in small batches using a custom-built, locally manufactured 500L copper pot still. Frankie & Eileen's Gin was named 'Best in Ireland 2026' in The Gin Guide Awards, as well as achieving a Gold Award in the Martini category.

  • Botanicals: 13 including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, cassia bark, liquorice root, grains of paradise, cardamom, lemon peel, sweet orange, bitter orange. Base Spirit: Grain.​
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lime and/or Lemon, or in a Negroni.​
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of piney citrus with herbal spice undertones. Crisp and clean on the palate with juniper and zesty orange peel. A warming finish with resinous juniper and spice from cardamom and grains of paradise.
The Gin Guide Review: Frankie & Eileen's Craft Gin was awarded as a Bronze Award winner in the Traditional Gin category and Negroni category of The Gin Guide Awards 2026, as well achieving a Gold Award in the Negroni category. During blind tastings the Judge's we impressed by the gin's aroma, flavour profile, and serving with Tonic Water. Individual Judges' comments included describing Frankie & Eileen's Craft Gin as being 'attractively complex' with 'bold, warming juniper' and 'a palate that develops a pronounced earthy and herbal character, with sweet citrus notes'.

Meet the Makers

"Our goal was simple: to step into distilling with an honest, premium spirit, crafted the right way.​ Frankie and Eileen are our two grandmothers. Frankie grew up in Belfast City, and Eileen grew up in the Glens of Antrim near the Giant’s Causeway. So, our designers drew inspiration from the places they grew up in to create the beautiful artwork on our bottles. Because the gin is named after my two grandmothers, it’s very close to our heart, and we wanted to do them proud." - Deborah Mitchell, Founder
