What did you do before creating Arduenna Gin? Before beginning to create our gin we worked in the finance sector. It was a shared desire to create a product that referenced the nature in our country that pushed us to stop our previous work and to dedicate ourselves 100% to this project. What made you decide to create your gin? The inspiration to create our gin came from the desire to bottle our culture and our heritage. Throughout the making of Arduenna we had a common thread; the Ardennes. The Ardennes is a forested and natural region of our country. The idea was to create a walk in our forests in a single sip. This is why we worked with the aromas of mirabelle plum, fir and elderflower. What is the meaning behind your brand name? Arduenna is the Latin name for this forest massif, the Ardennes. The aim behind this name was to bottle this beautiful region. The idea was to be able to leave home, walk 100m and be likely to find all the ingredients present in Arduenna. Can you tell us more about where and how your gin is distilled? We developed the recipe with a renowned chef from Belgium. However, for the distillation we work with the Radermacher distillery, the oldest distillery in Belgium. They have a 6-plate column still and our botanical are mirabelle plum, fir and elderflower. What is your ambition for Arduenna Gin in the years to come? We want to consolidate our positions in Belgium, but it is especially in terms of exports that we must develop. The objective for 2024 is to reach 5-6 other countries. What are your favourite ways to drink Arduenna Gin?
Our perfect serve is made with a Mediterranean Tonic Water, a sprig of rosemary and lemon zest. In cocktails, we also reveal all the aromas of Arduenna. We enjoy Arduenna in a Negroni with 694 Aperitivo bitters. Desert Island Gins: Which 3 gins would you take with you and why?
