Bond Street Distillery was established in 2019 by Sally Faulkner and her team. Having initially launched with the Signature London Dry Gin (a Winner in The Gin Guide Awards 2024), the Bond Street Gin range has grown to include their Navy Strength Edition and their Sumptuous Spices Gin, as well a range of flavoured gins, including their Raspberry Gin, Blood Orange Gin, and festive Mince Pie Gin. Bond Street Distillery is located on Upper Bond Street in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and the building itself dates back to the 18th Century and is a former hosiery factory. The distillery is home to their 700L still, Bond Street Gin School, their bar 'Bond Street Social' with a view of the still, and an expansive events space on the top floor. Conveniently, there is a local train station (15mins walk), or if driving, the distillery is situated 10 mins from the M69 (Junction 1) and on-site parking is available. Sally shared more about choosing the historic building and the restoration project, saying "I began planning and searching for a location and in early 2018 an opportunity presented itself in the form a very run-down building in my home town. I fell in love with the place instantly and my inspiration and aspiration collided." "The Bond Street Distillery experience is very much about escape and from the minute you enter the building we want you to lose yourself, to be wowed but without distracting from the heritage of the building. People always comment on how much love and thought has gone into the restoration and the glass viewing panel from the bar to the distillery, where you can see ‘Claire’ our 700L Holstein still. It always stops people in their tracks and they are unable to resist taking a picture." The Bond Street Distillery Gin School is a wonder space and the experience is fantastic. After meeting your fellow trainee distillers, you will learn about, smell, touch and taste some of the key botanicals used in gin distillation to inspire and educate you as you create your personal recipe and measure out your botanicals. You'll then take to your mini still to distill your gin before bottling your gin, labelling it and naming it, ready to take home (with your recipe kept on file should you wish to order more!). The experience lasts 3 hours, includes a tour of the distillery, and G&Ts along the way! Sally explained more about the experience, saying "We pride ourselves on the service and hospitality we provide. From the moment you are met by your host, with a Gin & Tonic, we want you to feel truly pampered. During the behind the scenes tour of the distillery and throughout your gin school experience, we are here to guide you in making your own truly unique gin and to make this an experience you will never forget. You can even add on an exquisite afternoon tea for an extra special treat or relax in the bar afterwards to enjoy one of our speciality cocktails."
