Distillerie du Morbihan launch Algaïa Gin

Distillerie du Morbihan in France, makers of Gin 56, have launched their new gin - Algaïa.

Distillerie du Morbihan was established in 2023 in Brittany by Francois and Claire Rychlewski. Having enjoyed making Sloe Gin with the abundant sloes along the coastal paths of Brittany, Francois and Claire embarked on producing a London Dry Gin. After training with Jamie Baxter in England and purchasing a 372 litre Holstein Still, Gin 56 was launched in August 2023 as Distillerie du Morbihan's debut gin.

On the launch of Agaïa Gin, Francois and Claire write, ​"What a challenging gin to distill, but it is so exciting to finally release Algaïa - a harmony of organic seaweed, verbena and linden flower from Brittany, along with 9 other botanicals that bring Algaïa to life."
