PRESS RELEASE FROM CHÂTEAU BYBLINEJasmin Gin Launches a New Chapter for Damascus Gin At the end of June, the team behind Damascus Gin officially launched Jasmin Gin at Château Bybline, the family-run winery in the mountains of Lebanon where both gins are produced. More than 50 guests attended the launch, coming together to discover and taste this new small-batch gin inspired by jasmine, one of the most familiar and evocative scents of Damascus and the wider Levant. Created as the sister of Damascus Gin, Jasmin Gin shares the same commitment to craftsmanship, natural ingredients and regional identity. Each botanical is carefully infused and distilled separately before the final blend is created. While Damascus Gin is known for the Damask rose, Aleppo pistachio, Syrian juniper and fresh Lebanese citrus, Jasmin Gin places jasmine at the heart of the experience. The result is a fresh, aromatic and delicately floral gin with a character of its own.
“Jasmine is part of our everyday life,” said Andrés González, one of the founders. “We smell it in our gardens, along the streets and through open windows on summer evenings. It is a fragrance we have known all our lives, but tasting it is something completely different. That is what makes Jasmin Gin such a special and surprising experience.”
Jasmin Gin can be served with one part gin and three parts premium tonic over plenty of ice. It pairs especially well with a generous twist of lemon or orange peel. Another recommended serve combines a piece of fresh pear with a few dried juniper berries. The event at Château Bybline gave guests the opportunity to meet the team, learn more about the inspiration and production process, and experience Jasmin Gin for the first time.
