The Gin Guide Review
The Gower Gin Company have never been afraid to be bold with flavour and once again they have delivered with a gin that has all the flavour but none of the potential harshness of a high ABV gin. On the nose it combines an aromatic smoky character with deep and zesty citrus and delicate florals. On the palate it is zingy with citrus and sea buckthorn and peppery with cubeb and grains of paradise. Peppery spice builds into the finish as the smoky character returns and lingers. When ice is added, the smoky pine character of the lapsang souchong is elevated, and with tonic the balance of the lime zest, lemon zest, sea buckthorn and linden flowers are brought to life and the smokiness of the tea becomes a more delicate subtlety. Impressive, distinctive and very enjoyable all round. - Paul Jackson, 2020 |
