Gutsy Monkey Winter Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Gutsy Monkey Gin
Gutsy Monkey Gin was launched in 2016 and was the first gin to be produced by The Gin Kitchen in Surrey. The gin is distilled in-house in a small, traditional copper pot still and cut to 48%. It features botanicals including Croatian Juniper, ginger, thyme, allspice, cumin and black pepper. The Gin Kitchen was estabished in 2016 by friends Kate Gregory and Helen Muncie who we're inspired by an radio segment about the gin revival and now produce their range of gins, including Dancing Dragontail Summer Gin, in a converted barn in the Surrey Hills. The Gin Guide says... Gutsy Monkey Winter Gin is a bold, warming and full-bodied gin. Rich, aromatic spices take centre stage alongside juniper, earthy notes and zesty lime which cuts through for balance. At 48% ABV and without chill filtering, the gin releases essential oils when diluted for a pearlescent G&T that certainly holds its flavour. The wintery, warming flavour profile is also an ideal pair for ginger ale. Garnish: Lime Zest or Ginger. You Might Also Like... For another warming, winter gin try Orkney Gin Company Mikkelmas Gin, or try The Gin Kitchen's summery Dancing Dragontail Gin. |
