Herefordshire Gin Reviews - A to Z
Penrhos Gin - Kington
Launched in 2018, Penrhos Spirits was established in Herefordshire by two farming families. The distillery is an old barn where co-founder Richard's grandmother, Constance, used to raise calves, and their copper pot CARL still is named Connie after her. Penrhos Spirits are proud to use wonky fruit in their gins, with blueberries being a signature botanical in Penrhos Dry Gin. They are also the first distillery to have moved from glass to 100% recycled aluminium bottles, cutting the carbon footprint of their packaging by 91%.

Rockfield Gin - Hereford
Rockfield Spirits launched in 2023 in the centre of Hereford, with their distillery located on the grounds of a former cider mill. The distillery was founded by engineers Paul Scourfield and his friend and colleague Mike Griffiths, before being joined by Paul's wife Sarah. The Rockfield Spirits range began with Rockfield Dry Gin and Rockfield Pink Gin before launching further flavoured gins. The brand and name are inspired by the distillery's surrounding area and its location on Rockfield Road.

"We are Herefordshire fruit farmers - we grow strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries and eating and cider apples. One day we we're enjoying a Saturday morning coffee when we thought we should be producing a gin with all our fruit!" - Charles Turner & Richard Williams, Penrhos Spirits

"My husband, Paul, was inspired to create a product that would bring joy to a wide audience. The natural choice for us was gin!
