Lujo Distilling Company
Lujo Distilling Co was established in Doncaster in 2018 by Jason Adlam and Gary Coates. Jason and Gary had been working together for 7 years when they decided to take on a new challenge in producing small batch organic spirits featuring selected botanicals from Yorkshire farmers. With previous experience in brewing beer, Gary trained in distilling and the duo set up their distillery and developed their branding, launching their debut gin, J.P. Adlam No.8 Gin, in 2019.

J.P. Adlam No.8 Gin (41.5% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 8 botanicals including juniper, coriander seeds, cubebs, star anise, lavender, orange, lemon. Base Spirit: Grain.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Orange, or in a Negroni or White Lady.
  • Tasting Notes: Floral aromas with citrus notes. Juniper, lavender, lemon and juicy orange notes on the palate with undertones of anise. A finish of coriander seeds, peppery cubebs and lingering citrus.

Meet the Makers

"Gary and I had been working together for 7 years when we decided over a beer one day that we wanted a new challenge. That coupled with a desire to make a better gin than was currently on the market was the start of the LuJo Distilling Company. With a range of botanicals we started to experiment with various flavour profiles until finding what we thought was the perfect gin. Once we had a gin, we began to develop the business, finding a property to build the distillery, jumping through the miles of red tape, designing bottles, labels and websites until we were able to launch." - Co-Founder, Jason Adlam
