The Gin Guide Review
137 Distillery's Country Garden Gin is bold, fragrant and uplifting, with bright citrus and floral notes alongside soft spice. With a smooth and light mouthfeel, the core of juniper and traditional gin botanicals is clearly definable. The floral elements are balanced with citrus, herbal and spice notes, with lavender certainly bringing to mind a country garden, while not being overpowering. The long, dry finish is spiced, peppery and herbal, with cassia bark emerging further, giving complexity and contrast as the florals gently fade. It is very easy to imagine Country Garden Gin being a summer G&T favourite and it also complements Elderflower Tonics impressively. - Paul Jackson, 2019 |
