Luss Distillery
Luss Distillery was established in 2025 on the shores of Loch Lomond as a visitor-focused home for Ben Lomond Gin. The working distillery offers a self-guided discovery centre, guided tours and tastings, hands-on gin experiences, a retail shop, and a licensed cafe. Inspired by the nearby Ben Lomond, meaning "Beacon Mountain" in Scottish Gaelic, Ben Lomond Gin aims to reflect the exploration and natural diversity of the area. Alongside Ben Lomond Gin, Luss Distillery also produces vodka and whisky, including the Glen's Vodka range and Loch Lomond whisky range.

Ben Lomond Scottish Gin (43% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 11 including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, liquorice root, orris root, cassia bark, Szechuan pepper, rose petals, Scottish blackcurrants, rowan berries, orange peel. Base Spirit: Grain.​​
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with Mediterranean Tonic and a garnish of Orange, or in a Negroni.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of piney juniper and citrus with hints of dark fruit and rose. Juniper continues on the palate with blackcurrants, rowan berries and rose. Warm, tingling Szechuan pepper leads into a dry finish of juniper and lingering berry and floral notes.​
The Gin Guide Review: Ben Lomond Scottish Gin was awarded a Bronze Award in the Contemporary Gin category of The Gin Guide Awards 2026. During the blind tastings the Judges were impressed by the gin's aroma, flavour profile, balance, and finish. Individual Judge's comments included describing Ben Lomond Scottish Gin as having 'a rounded flavour with juniper developing well alongside hints of fruitiness and spice' and 'lovely warming notes leading into the finish', as well as it making 'a very nicely balanced G&T'.

Meet the Makers

"Before Ben Lomond was a gin, it was a mountain. More than that, it was a meeting point - where east met west, and land met sky. Derived from the Celtic word 'Lumon', Ben Lomond means 'Beacon Mountain'. Historically, a fire burning at its summit guided people from the four corners of Scotland and beyond. For those curious enough to make the climb, the reward was perspective - horizons opening up and new journeys calling. That sense of adventure is what we channel in Ben Lomond Gin."
