Manchester Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Manchester Gin
Manchester Gin was launched in 2016 and is the creation of Jen Wiggins and Seb Heeley. The couple, who instantly shared a love of gin and tonics, met in a Manchester bar and in 2015 they decided to develop and launch their own gin together. Manchester Gin features 12 botanicals including Manchester-inspired dandelion and burdock root, and it is distilled in-house in traditional copper stills - the first of which is called Wendy, named after Jen's mother. Find out more in The Gin Guide's 'Meet the Maker' interview with Jennie from Manchester Gin. The Gin Guide says... Emblazoned with the iconic bee symbol from Manchester's coat of arms and featuring dandelion and burdock root as botanicals, Manchester Gin goes all the way to represent the city. To taste, piney juniper and citrus stand out and are skillfully balanced with earthy notes, subtle sweetness and spice. With a romantic story behind the gin, Manchester Gin certainly has what it takes to have a fairy tale ending too. You Might Also Like... Also try Manchester Gin's herbaceous Wild Spirit Gin, and for another gin from the city try Manchester Three Rivers Gin. |
