Masons Yorkshire Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About
Masons Gin was launched in June 2013 (on World Gin Day) and is the creation of gin experts Karl and Catherine Mason, with a mission to create their ideal gin. The gin was initially third-party distilled by the English Spirit Company before the Mason's purchased their own still (named Steve) in 2014, establishing Yorkshire's only operational distillery at the time. The gin features Harrogate spring water and a secret combination of botanicals, including fennel and some of the Mason's own juniper. The Gin Guide says... Masons Yorkshire Gin has an interesting story and equally interesting taste. Juniper, fennel, liquorice and citrus are significant parts of the flavour, delivering a smooth and distinctive gin. In an increasingly saturated gin market, it is a gin that is full of character and is memorable, without losing focus on the juniper at it's core. It's a gin that Yorkshire can proud of.
