Meadows Gin - Review & Tasting Notes
About Meadows Gin
Meadows Botanical Gin was launched in 2018 by Northen Spirits Partnership and is third-party distilled at the historic and renowned G&J Distillers distillery in Warrington. The gin is inspired by the balance and diversity of plants and life in British meadows. It features lavender alongside juniper, traditional botanicals such as cassia bark, coriander seed and liqourice root, and a host of citrus fruits, peels and oils. The Gin Guide says... Juniper and zesty citrus are at the forefront of Meadows Gin, with lemon, grapefruit and bergamot standing out, perhaps unexpectedly when considering the grassy and herbaceous connotations of a meadow. There's an enjoyable contrast between the earthy and rooty notes on the nose and the bright burst of zesty and sweet citrus on the palate, which itself is balanced neatly by lavender, cassia bark and the continuation of underlying rooty spices. Meadows Gin's fresh, uplifting flavours make for a crisp and flavoursome gin and tonic that brings to mind the feeling of summer and spring. Garnish: Lemon Peel or Thyme. - Paul Jackson, 2018 You Might Also Like... For more gins with bold citrus flavours try Boxer Gin and 6 O'Clock Gin.
