Cheshire Botanicals
Launched in 2020 by Paul, Deb and Holly Challinor, Cheshire Botanicals is a family-run spirits business located in the Cheshire town of Nantwich in Northwest England. It created Nantwich Gin to honour the town and its history. The original recipe was developed in Cheshire Botanicals' small onsite distillery and larger batches are produced by a local partner distillery. The choice of botanicals for Nantwich Gin was inspired by the works of John Gerard, the Nantwich-born botanist who served as Royal Herbalist to King James I of England in the early 1600s. The Nantwich Gin label was designed by local artist Jiri Borsky and reflects the Tudor architecture found through the town. |

Meet the Makers
"Creating a local gin had always been a bit of a dream for us as a family, but commitments delayed the start-up until 2020. We believed that Nantwich deserved a premium gin product of its own to celebrate the town’s history, culture, personalities and stories from the past." - Director, Holly Challinor
