Niederrheiner Gin
Niederrheiner Gin was founded in 2020 by Frank Waegner and Jochen Back. Both passionate about gin, Jochen and Frank were inspired to create their own gin after hosting gin tastings and reading about the possibility of distilling your own gin. They bought a 5L still, attended distilling seminars, and began developing their recipe based around Kaffir lime leaves. The brand is named after the Niederrhein (Lower Rhein) region of western Germany which borders the Netherlands and is where Frank and Jochen are from and where their gins are distilled at Muehle 4 Distillery. In 2024, Niederrheiner Gin launched their Rooibos Infused Gin which was named 'Best in Germany 2025' in The Gin Guide Awards.

Meet the Makers
"Niederrheiner Gin is made in small batches, each bottle filled and labelled by hand in a small distillery in the Lower Rhine region of Germany, made with some of the best ingredients from around the world. Fourteen botanicals such as kaffir lime leaves, barberry, orange blossom and lemongrass give Niederrheiner Gin a unique character that is not to be missed." - Jochen Back & Frank Waegner, Founders
