QVT Dry Gin - Review & Tasting Notes

The Gin Guide Review
QVT is a robust and flavoursome gin with a bold core of juniper and classic botanicals combined with citrus, floral and herbaceous characters. Juniper is instantly evident on the nose alongside florals and lemon peel, the mouthfeel is smooth and full, and on the palate the herbaceous notes build into the finish as cardamom develops too. Lavender and rosemary are notoriously difficult botanicals to use subtly, but they are both used very effectively and not overpoweringly in QVT Gin, helping to achieve impressive subtleties, layers and a journey of flavour. With tonic water the herbaceous notes and rose are elevated, making lemon peel or orange ideal garnish starting points. A French 75 and Martini also make for very fitting servings. - Paul Jackson, 2020 |

Meet the Makers
"Provence offers the perfect canvas for a distillery. We can source almost all we need and the region has a wealth of natural beauty. So we set out to try and make a gin that could hold its own with the Eau de Vie that is historically so popular, and at the same time retain the characteristics of a classic London Dry Gin. - Founders, Justin & Anna Matterson
