Silhouette Stills Distillery
Silhouette Stills Distillery was launched in 2025 in Capel, Surrey, by Phillip Reed. Having worked in construction for 40 years, Phillip enrolled on a commercial distilling course in 2022 and spent the next two years developing recipes, testing processes, and completing the licensing and fit out of the distillery. The story of the Silhouette Stills brand name is inspired by three impromptu silhouettes hand-cut by a street artist while Phillip was on holiday with his family, and these adorn the bottles. Silhouette Stills' gins - London Dry Gin No.1 and London Dry Gin No.2 - are distilled in a 200 litre copper still and were both awarded in The Gin Guide Awards 2026, with Silhouette Stills Distillery earning the coveted 'New Distillery of the Year 2026' Award. 

Silhouette Stills London Dry Gin No.1 (40% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 8 including juniper, chamomile, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla, dates, blackberries. Base Spirit: Grain.​
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon, Lemon or Strawberry, or in a Negroni.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of juniper, ginger and fruity notes. Rich and fruity on the palate with juniper and with layers of warming spice.
The Gin Guide Review: Silhouette Stills No.1 Gin was awarded a Bronze Award in the Contemporary Gin category of The Gin Guide Awards 2026. During the blind tastings the Judges were impressed by the gin's aroma, flavour profile, depth, mouthfeel, and the serving with Tonic Water. Individual Judge's comments included describing Silhouette Stills No.1 Gin as having 'a cosy, rich and full palate', 'prominent juniper supported by botanical depth', 'a touch of fruitiness that adds enjoyable vibrancy', and 'a pleasing level of spice through the finish'.
