Skånska Spritfabriken
Skånska Spritfabriken was established in 2011 by entrepreneurs Kim Paulin and Jan Rothman, having both worked at Moët & Chandon in California's Napa Valley wine region. Located in Södra Sandby near Lund on the Skåne plain of southern Sweden, the first products were a Pommeau (Äppelglöd) and a Swedish calvados (Österlen) made with local apples, before launching their first gin in 2016. The Skånksa Spritfabriken range has since grown to include rum, whiskey, aquavit, and flavoured gins, including their Summer Breeze Gin which was awarded a Gold Award in The Gin Guide Awards 2026 and also named 'Best in Sweden 2026'.

Gin London Dry (46.2% ABV)

  • Botanicals: Including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, black pepper, cardamom, green apples. Base Spirit: Grain.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Orange, or in a Negroni or Martini.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of earthy cardamom, juniper and apples. Light and crisp on the palate, with bright and green notes of apple, juniper and cardamom. Hints of pepperiness lead into a smooth and warming finish.
The Gin Guide Review: Skånska Fabriken Gin London Dry was awarded a Bronze Award in the Traditional Gin category of The Gin Guide Awards 2026, as well as a Silver Award in the Martini category. During the blind tastings the Judges were impressed by the gin's flavour profile, balance, mouthfeel, and the serving with Tonic Water. Individual Judge's comments included describing Skånska Fabriken Gin London Dry as being 'well-balanced and light' and having 'pleasing levels of juniper with green notes and earthy cardamom', as well as noting it has 'a mouthfeel that coats the tongue' and it 'harmonises really well with Tonic Water for a longer serve that is really very pleasant.

In the distillery we process raw materials from local farmers. We ferment and distill. We age."
