Skin Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About
Skin Gin was created by Martin Jensen and launched in 2015, and is based in Steinkirchen near Hamburg, Germany. Each botanical, including Moroccan mint, Vietnamese coriander, hand-picked German juniper, and a range of citrus peels, are distilled separately in-house with wheat alcohol before being blended. The Gin Guide says... Skin Gin is a distinctive gin, both in taste and in packaging. From the sophisticated bottle you might anticipate an earthy, dry and traditional gin; in reality it is a fresh, clean and light gin dominated by mint and menthol characteristics, with subtle juniper and citrus notes. Skin Gin treads a fine line between a gin balanced in favour of mint and a mint liquor. It is a bold addition to the gin market and can also be effective in making twists on classic cocktails - worth experimenting with. You Might Also Like... Other gins featuring mint include Beckett's Gin and Daffy's Gin. For another German gin, try Siegfried Gin and Monkey 47 Gin. |
