The Falls Distilling
The Falls Distilling was established in 2022 by James and Seaneen Manning and is distilled at Trail Distilling Co in Oregon City, the home of the Willamette Falls which are the inspiration for the brand. With a range of three gins, each bottle features a historic photograph and story related to the waterfalls. The reverse label of River Gin features the oldest known photograph of Willamette Falls taken in 1885, their navy strength Knotty Gin displays the USS Oregon BB-03 battleship, and their barrel-aged Captain Webb Gin is inspired by the first person to successfully go over the falls in a barrel in 1895.

Meet the Makers
"James is the fifth generation, on his father's side, born in Willamette, Oregon. On his mother's side he is Wyandotte Indian. So, on River Gin, on the inside of the back label, you can look through the front of the bottle and see the oldest photo of Willamette Falls ever taken. To the right-hand edge of the photo you can see a Native American fishing off his platform with a net. To the left side of the photo, you can see two fishermen in a rowboat using fishing poles. This photo captures the meeting of two cultures and honours both sides of James' family heritage in a beautiful way." - Seaneen & James Manning, Founders
