Thunderflower Fireship Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Thunderflower FireShip Gin
Thunderflower Fire Ship Gin was launched in 2020 and is distilled in-house at Thunderflower Distillery in Devon, which was established in 2017. The distillation process is a traditional 'one shot' vapour-infusion in their 200L pot still. The Thunderflower name is derived from an old Devon legend that says the tiny white 'thunderflowers' that can grow on thatched cottage roofs can ward off both lightning and witchcraft. And the Fireship name is inspired by the last invasion of England which took place in 1690 in Teignmouth, close to the distillery, during which 'Fire Ships' were used - wooden ships packed with gunpowder that were set alight and launched in towards the enemy fleet. |

"Gin making is an enjoyable, almost zen like practice at this level and we're not looking to get industrial any time soon." - Dominic O'Nions, Co-Founder
