Tiger Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Tiger Gin
Tiger Gin was launched in 2016 by JJ Lawrence who established the Shropshire Gin Company. With a passion for gin and a desire to create a new gin, Lawrence recruited distilling experts Alcohols Ltd to develop the recipe and distill the gin professionally at Langley Distillery near Birmingham. After deciding on the name 'Tiger Gin', a legal battle ensued as Heineken challenged the trademark application with their Tiger Beer brand in mind. After 2 years, Tiger Gin came out on top and continue to use their chosen name. The Gin Guide Review Tiger Gin came to the gin market with a real underdog story after the legal battles with Heineken. The gin itself is sweet and smooth with an enjoyably oily mouthfeel. There's room for greater depth of flavour or complexity to be developed, but it is excellent in a gin and tonic or martini. Tiger Gin is certainly an exciting prospect. A clearer identity and bolder branding to play on the 'tiger' name or its Shropshire roots could help it gain even more attention from gin lovers. - Paul Jackson, 2016 You Might Also Like...
