Tonalicious Spirit Co.
Tonalicious Spirit Co was launched in 2024 by DJ Kerrie Campbell and engineer Frank Buechel. The duo met whilst working together in the tech industry and were inspired to create gins with a unique selling point. This point of difference came when Frank discovered an acoustic sonicator - an ultrasonic machine that could enhance the extraction of essences by using high-frequency ultrasound waves to gently break down the cell walls of the botanicals. After a year of testing and perfecting the process, Tonalicious Spirit Co began producing spirits using their 'Sonic Dissipation' method. Now operating from a warehouse in Adelaide’s CBD, Kerrie and Frank produce a range of gins including Lucky 13, Rogue Tom, and Poolside Gin. 

Lucky 13 Gin (42% ABV)

  • Botanicals: Including juniper, coriander seeds, allspice, cardamom, cinnamon, golden berries, lime, lemon, grapefruit. Base Spirit: Grape.​​
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Orange or Lemon, or in a Martini.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas os lemon and lime citrus. Juniper and citrus on the palate with earthy spice undertones. A dry finish of bittersweet citrus, juniper and warm spice.
The Gin Guide Review: Lucky 13 Gin was awarded a Silver Award in the Contemporary Gin category of The Gin Guide Awards 2026. During the blind tastings the Judges were impressed by the gin's aroma, flavour profile, balance, finish, and serving with Tonic Water. Individual Judge's comments included describing Lucky 13 Gin as 'well balanced' and having 'an intense citrus character on the nose', 'enjoyable weight and depth on the palate', and 'a dry finish that bounces pleasingly between the juniper, citrus and warm spice'.

Q-Gin
  • 42% ABV. An autumn-inspired gin with fresh quince, green apples, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Poolside Gin
  • 42% ABV. A summer-inspired colour-changing gin with sunrise lime, lemon myrtle, pepperberry, saltbush, emu apple, and butterfly pea.​
Rogue Tom
  • 42% ABV. A bold molasses spirit with liquorice root and honey. 

Meet the Makers

"It started with a simple idea—born from frustration and the spark of possibility. We’re Kerrie and Frank, a DJ and engineer duo. We met in the world of tech—working at places like Flinders University and exploring the cutting edge of AI and video at Imagination Corporation. After one particularly long day, Kerrie had a spark of inspiration. “That's it, Frank,” she said. “We should do something fun, like making gin.” Frank, the ever-pragmatic dreamer, asked, “What’s our point of difference? There are hundreds of gin makers here.” We knew we couldn’t just make gin. We had to reimagine it. Our answer came in the form of sound."
