The Gin Guide Review
Twelve Below Tonics deliver on being low-calorie and not including artificial additives, but do they still deliver on flavour? The answer is an undoubtable yes. Their flavoured tonics make for vibrant servings with gin and are also very enjoyable as a stand-alone drink. Twelve Below's Classic Tonic has dialled down sweetness compared to most on the market, which has been achieved by using light agave syrup and also by dialling down the bitter quinine too. It sits midway being a modern tonic water and a soda water, and is clearly identifiable as a light tonic - allowing the gin to shine through and not eating up your recommend daily sugar intake. Aided by clear and colourful branding, they are mixers that are likely to have great appeal. - Paul Jackson, 2020 |

"Having had treatment for cancer, I was advised to cut down on alcohol and calories, so I started to drink tonic on its own (and with the occasional gin!), but was dismayed at how much sugar was in standard varieties and did not like the artificial sweeteners in the slimline versions."
