Uncommon Distillery
The Uncommon Distillery brand was created in 2025 by Ben de Haan from New Zealand after investing in the distillery operations of Sibling Distillery in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Ben is experienced in the industry having created the Brewhouse Spirits brand and launched Black Robin Gin and Blue Duck Vodka in New Zealand. The Uncommon Distillery range has already grown to include their Signature Gin, Local Honey Old Tom Gin, Spiced Fig & Plum Gin, and a range of gin liqueurs.​

Meet the Maker

"Initially a dream stemming from a lifelong passion for gin and a pile of distilling books, I brought that dream to reality in January 2022 after spending months studying the distilling process and developing the perfect recipe in a small copper still. The distillery garden is the perfect place to grow botanicals to use in our recipes, reinforcing our ethos to only use the freshest, locally sourced ingredients wherever possibly we can. From the distilling process itself, the bottling, labelling and packaging of our gin are all are completed by hand." - Michelle Priestley, Founder
