Welsh Shepherd Spirits
Welsh Shepherd Spirits was established by Vanessa & Anthony Watts following a conversation with friends about wanting to establish a business that can give back to the charities they care about. After 2 years of development, their Welsh Shepherd London Dry Gin, Dragon's Blush Gin, and Spiced Rum (in a recycled, recyclable Frugalpac bottle) were launched in 2026 from their distillery on their working small-holding at Gwernaffel Farm - home to their flock of Soay sheep and German Shepherd dogs which inspired the brand name and logo. With charity and community as a focal point of their mission, Welsh Shepherd Distillery also launched with two charity collaborations - a gin in support of Hope House Children's Hospice and a gin and rum in support of Care For Wild rhino sanctuary, with 50% of profits from respective sales being donated.

Welsh Shepherd London Dry Gin (40% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 8 botanicals including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, orris root, cassia bark, liquorice root, cardamom, orange. Base Spirit: Grain.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Orange, or in a Negroni or White Lady.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of crisp juniper, lemon and bitter orange, and earthy soft spice. Juniper on the palate with citrus, coriander seeds, and cardamom. A long, dry and gently warming finish with lingering cassia and cardamom spice.

  • Featuring hibiscus, pink peppercorns, rosehip, meadowsweet, lemon, and liquorice.
Protector Gin (40% ABV) 
  • Distilled with rooibos, with 50% of the profits being donated to Care For Wild orphaned rhino sanctuary in South Africa.
Hope House Gin (40% ABV) 
  • Distilled with lemon and elderflower, with 50% of the profits being donated to Hope House children's hospice.
