Manchester Three Rivers Gin Review & Tasting Notes
About Three Rivers Gin
Manchester Three Rivers Gin was launched in 2016 by bar owner turned master distiller Dave Rigby and his co-founders. The gin is named after the three rivers that Manchester was originally built around, and the distillery 'City of Manchester Distillery' is the first to be established in the centre of Manchester. It took three years to turn the idea into reality, including ordering a 450 litre Holstein copper pot still, named Angel. The gin is distilled in-house and features 11 botanicals including oats in tribute to the Manchester workers in the Industrial Revolution who survived largely on oats. The Gin Guide says... Manchester Three Rivers Gin is a bold and progressive gin, steering away from classic characteristics and typical citrus flavours. The result is an exceptionally smooth, warming and well-balanced gin. The mouth-feel is creamy, vanilla delivers sweetness, cardamom adds warmth and spice, and black pepper helps define the finish. The gin is distinct and memorable, which is an increasingly impressive feat in the growing gin market. Serve with tonic water and a cherry for a G&T with a twist. You Might Also Like...
