International Gin & Tonic Day - 19th October
International Gin & Tonic Day is hosted by The Gin Guide on behalf of Jayne Withers who launched the occasion in 2012 in honour of her Grandmother, Mary Edith Keyburn. Jayne writes:
"Mary Edith was a remarkable woman who loved to have the occasional tipple of Gin & Tonic. She passed away in hospital on October 19th 2010 at the age of 95, with a Gin & Tonic at her side that was smuggled into the hospital in a water bottle and served in a teacup." International Gin & Tonic Day is a wonderful opportunity to gather together with family and friends and to enjoy one of the most delicious, popular and historic drinks, and to celebrate the gin distillers and tonic producers around the world. |
