Launched in 2020, Anaiak Gin is produced by brothers Rémy and Boris Harretche at their distillery in a renovated garage in the town of Ciboure, and the name 'Anaiak' means 'brothers in Basque. The base spirit is produced with organic grape marc from the Bordeaux region and the lemon verbena and eucalyptus botanicals are picked locally in the Basque region. In 2023 the distillery's second gin was launched, Gin Fracternal N2.

Anaiak Gin (41% ABV)
The Gin Guide ReviewAnaiak Gin characterfully combines fresh, clean and herbal notes with juniper and earthy, aromatic spice, delivered with balance and cohesion, while the grape marc base spirit brings wonderful body and a generous mouthfeel. With Tonic Water, Anaiak Gin makes for a very flavoursome G&T with juniper being prominent alongside a combination of cloves, lemon balm and eucalyptus, all united by cardamom. It is a gin with impressive flavour, balanced contrasts, personality and a sense of place too. - Paul Jackson, 2022

Meet the Makers
"We are lovers of this millennial spirit and wanted to create the gin that we would like to drink, without getting tired of it. And above all a gin that would highlight the botanicals of our region, the Basque Country." - Boris & Rémy Harretche, Co-Founders
