THE GIN GUIDE AWARDS 2020 - FINALISTS
Congratulations! You are a Finalist in The Gin Guide Awards 2020!
How are Finalists Chosen?
Once all scores are received from the Judges, they are collated and standardisation process is applied by a Statistician. This ensures that variations in scoring ranges between Judges are taken into account and it ensures that a particularly high or low score from a single Judge cannot skew the results. It makes the most level playing field possible.
A formula is then applied to determine a threshold score to be a Finalist. This formula takes into account factors including your average scores from all Judges and the number of entries in the category. The entries which have scored above the threshold score are named as Finalists.
What Happens Next for Finalists?
Firstly, enjoy and celebrate being a Finalist and share the news! It is an achievement to be hugely proud of, especially given the very high number and quality of entries this year. Below you can find the 'Finalist' logos which you are welcome to use, and also imagery and hashtags for use on social media to help publicise your achievement.
Final tastings and verifications will now be conducted ahead of announcing the Winner and Runners-Up in each category on Tuesday 21st April.
