Launched in 2022 by Karen Fergie, Kerrie McKay and Robert Boyd, Black Arch Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, is named after the Blackcave Tunnel, also known as 'The Black Arch'. The tunnel was built in the mid-1800s and is located on the famous Antrim Coast Road, known as one of the world's most scenic drives. Inspired by the tunnel's coastal location and surrounding landscape, Black Arch Gin features seaweed alongside botanicals including blackberries and nettles.

Meet the Makers
"Our gin encapsulates the rugged but bountiful landscape around the Black Arch in County Antrim. By combining botanicals like blackberries and nettle that grow on the land above, with a subtle hint of seaweed, the gin, like the arch itself, bridges the land and the ocean. Savouring your first sip should evoke a similar notion to that of taking a deep and satisfying inhalation of ‘good Irish sea air'." - Karen Fergin, Co-Founder
