Launched in November 2019, Cape Clear Island Distillery is Ireland's only offshore island distillery. Their flagship gin, 3 SQ. MILES, is distilled in a 200-litre still over the course of two days for each batch. Cape Clear Island is Ireland's most southerly inhabited island, located 8 miles off the south-west coast of County Cork. The island measures just 3 miles long and 1 mile wide and it is home to under 150 people. Since launching 3 SQ. MILES Gin, this has been followed with a Cask Aged Edition and O'Driscoll's Navy Strength Gin.

Tasting Notes: Juniper, spice, citrus & aromas reminiscent of fresh sea air. Smooth & full-bodied with juniper, citrus, warming spice & savoury notes. Clean & lingering with coriander seeds, peppery cubeb & subtle sweetness.
Serving Suggestions / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lime or Lemon, or in a Martini, Negroni or Bramble.
The Gin Guide Review: 3 SQ. MILES is a gin that is very fitting of its location and has a real sense of place. Alongside juniper, citrus and spice, the use of kelp brings a gentle aroma of sea air and on the palate there are delicate floral notes from the locally foraged fuchsia and honeysuckle.
