Dancing Anchor Spirits
Opened in 2021 in Dronfield in Derbyshire, Dancing Anchor Spirits was founded by accountant Amy Gillatt and distiller and brewer David Hemstock. The distillery's name was inspired by the founders' links with the islands of the UK, Cayman Islands and Sardinia - hence the anchor logo - and by their love of dance music. As well as their Dry Gin, Pink Gin and Old Tom Gin, the distillery also produces the Twisted Mule range of flavoured gins, inspired by popular cocktails and desserts.

Dancing Anchor Dry Gin (42% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 9 including juniper, coriander seeds, orange, kaffir lime, ginger, cassia bark, grains of paradise. Base Spirit: Grain.​
  • Serving Suggestions: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of lemon or lime, or in a Martini, Gimlet or Negroni.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromatic on the nose with juniper, kaffir lime, orange and underlying warmth. Juniper and kaffir lime with orange and Asian spice notes. Ginger and grains of paradise lead into a finish of lingering citrus and cassia.
The Gin Guide Review: Dancing Anchor Dry Gin is an aromatic and characterful with a full and fragrant aroma. Southeast Asian influence is evident and enjoyable on the palate with the notable presence of kaffir lime, ginger, cassia and coriander seeds, layered around a traditional core of botanicals and orange citrus notes.
