Distillerie Studer
|
The Studer Distillery was founded in Escholzmatt in 1883 by the four Studer brothers, producing confectionery and liqueurs using pears, cherries, raspberries and plums. The company is still family-owned today with the fourth and fifth generations now running the business together. In 2005 the distillery began producing a wider range of spirits that now includes vodka, absinthe, gins based on a family recipe from 1888, and the first Swiss-made rums. The Studer family have a distillery shop in nearby Lucerne that also hosts tastings and cocktail masterclasses.

Meet the Makers
"Since our humble beginnings in 1883, the Studer family has passionately created some of the best premium spirits. The art and craft of distilling has been passed down through generations, and to this day, now with 140 years of experience, we continue to produce our spirits by hand and in small batches, very much like our forefathers did. Innovation has been an important part of our culture, as is tradition - feeling, smelling and tasting all the ingredients of every batch enables us to ensure the absolute best quality in each and every bottle."
