West Midlands Distillery
West Midlands Distillery is a family business and was founded in 2017 by Jordan Lunn, launching with the Dr Eamers gin brand. The distillery has since grown to produce gin, vodka, rum, liqueurs, and aperitifs for over 50 other brands, and now produces spirits across three sites including Dr Eamers Distillery Bar. In 2023, the Dr Eamers range was reimagined with new branding and recycled glass bottles with hand-painted details, as well as redeveloped recipes, higher ABVs, and increased botanical volumes. Plans are in place for West Midlands Distillery to open a dedicated Whisky Distillery, hosting tours, tastings, and a Distilling School.

Dr Eamers' London Dry Gin (45% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 10 botanicals including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, liquorice root, Tellicherry pepper, lemon thyme, white lavender, grapefruit, lemon, black lime . Base Spirit: Wheat.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of a Red Grapefruit or Lemon, or in a Martini or Negroni.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of juniper, citrus and thyme. Rich on the palate with juniper, citrus, thyme and lavender. A finish of warming pepper, liquorice root and lingering citrus.
The Gin Guide Review: In Dr Eamers' London Dry Gin you can sense and feel the plentiful volume of botanicals, from the fragrant, vibrant aromas of juniper and mixed citrus, backed with thyme and hints of lavender, to the full, oily citrus character on the palate that is balanced with savoury notes of thyme and pepper, leading into a finish of lingering citrus peels. Dr Eamers English Garden Gin (43% ABV)
  • Vibrant strawberry aromas with fresh and crisp notes of cucumber, melon, apple and mint. Fruity on the palate with plentiful strawberry and blackberry notes alongside the apple, melon and cucumber which sit beautifully together, before a touch of coriander seed spice and mint in the finish. With Tonic Water, the juniper and blackberry notes are elevated, making for a heartily fruity and balanced G&T with freshness and depth. 

Dr Eamers Black Gin (43% ABV)
  • In keeping with the bold, inky colour achieved from pea flowers, the aromas are deep and rich with crushed juniper, florals and citrus. On the palate the gin delivers further floral notes and subtle sweetness balanced with pepperiness and plentiful citrus throughout. With Tonic Water, the piney juniper notes and florals are prominent with depth from citrus.

"I made the decision in December 2017 to quit my job and focus full-time on the business, giving myself six months to build the business enough to support myself.
