Dragon Slayer Distillery
Dragon Slayer Distillery was established by father and daughter Paul Gibson and Yasmin Gibson in 2021 in Low Dinsdale near Darlington. The name and brand are inspired by the North East's wealth of dragon slayer folklore stories, songs and lore. Their flagship gin, Sir John Conyers Gin, is named after the knight said to have slain the Sockburn Worm in 1063 AD, and who lived 3 miles from where the Dragon Slayer Distillery is now located. Their range also includes Sir John Lambton Strawberry & Mint Gin and Sigurd Rhubarb Gin.

Sir John Conyers Dry Gin (40% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 15 botanicals including juniper, lemon peel, orange peel, lemongrass, rosemary, orange blossom, lavender, elderflower, green pepper, cardamom, ginger. Base Spirit: Grain.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Orange, or in a Martini.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of lavender, juniper and citrus. Floral on the palate with juniper, citrus peels, and undertones of cardamom and lemongrass. A lingering finish of citrus with hints of ginger and rosemary.
The Gin Guide Review: Dragon Slayer Distillery's Sir John Conyers Dry Gin combines prominent floral lavender, elderflower and orange blossom with citrussy lemon and orange peel, while cardamom and lemongrass provide undertones throughout and ginger, pepper and dry rosemary emerge and carry through the enjoyable and lingering citrus finish.
