Edelwhite Gin & Distillery
Edelwhite Gin was launched in 2017 by Canadian, Barb Grossenbacher, having previously run hotels and restaurants for 30 years and after completed the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Diploma. The distillery is located in Ebnet, a small village between Lucerne and Bern, and is home to a 150L still while also sharing the building with Entlebucher Bier and the Lindenhof Hotel and Restaurant. Edelwhite Gin features 27 botanicals including 14 that grow locally in the fields, meadows and mountainsides, with subsequent launches including Edelwhite 57 Gin and Edelwhite Winter Gin.

Edelwhite Gin (42% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 27 botanicals including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, orange peel, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, lime leaves, elderflower, linden blossom, cowslip, cinnamon blosson. Base Spirit: Grain.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Lemon or Grapefruit, or in a Martini or French 75.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromas of florals, fresh citrus and juniper. On the palate, citrus, pine, floral blossoms and grassy herbs. A finish of citrus, pepper and ginger spice.

Meet the Maker

"During distillation I separate the floral and herbal botanicas from all others. As the vapour rises it seeps separately through the botanical basket, guaranteeing intense floral and herbal aromas in the final product.
