Ginagain Spirits

Ginagain Spirits was founded in 2021 by Rick Allen from California, and their flagship gin is distilled in the UK at Wharf Distillery in Northamptonshire. However, the story of Ginagain begins over 20 years ago, in Santa Cruz, when Rick began producing a compound gin for family and friends, similarly using California oranges as a key botanical. The name 'Ginagain' is inspired by customers ordering in bars, saying "I'll have a Gin again!", and the wordplay now possible in ordering 'a Ginagain again'!

Ginagain 01 Gin (42% ABV)

  • Botanicals: 11 botanicals including juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, orris root, cubebs, grains of paradise, cardamom, lemongrass, orange. Base Spirit: Sugar Beet.
  • Serving Suggestion: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Orange Peel, or in Negroni or White Lady cocktail.
  • Tasting Notes: Aromatic with earthy, peppery and herbal notes, and orange citrus. Palate: Bold orange notes with deep spice and earthy roots. A lingering peppery finish with orange peel and pine.
The Gin Guide Review: Ginagain is a gin with abundant depth and character. On the nose it is boldly aromatic, with earthy, peppery and subtly herbal and floral aromas of cubebs, grains of paradise and cardamom. Orange has a cameo role on the nose before instantly leaping into a prominent role on the palate with a rich and oily character. The earthy and peppery spices form a hearty backdrop initially before building into a lingering finish of cubebs and grains of paradise alongside pine and rich orange peel notes. With Tonic Water, the piney juniper notes and cardamom emerge further, while brighter and fruitier notes of orange take a starring role and the bring the Californian connection to a flavoursome G&T. - Paul Jackson, 2023

"Our London Dry Gin is produced at an independent small-batch copper-pot distillery in Northamptonshire, England. The base alcohol is produced in-house from raw ingredients, combined with our select mix of juniper, California orange peel, cubeb pepper berries and other spices, then distilled to perfection in small batches, with just 200 bottles for our initial run." - Rick Allen, Founder
