Inshriach Distillery
Inshriach Distillery began life in a former chicken shed on Walter Micklethwait's 200 acre family estate in Scotland's Cairngorms National Park. In 2017, the distillery launched Inshriach Original Gin, a London Dry Gin with juniper, rosehip and Douglas fir botanicals all picked within a few miles of the distillery. Inshriach gins are distilled, blended, bottled and packaged on the Inshriach estate.

Tasting Notes: Aromas of pine, peppery juniper and subtly floral rosehips. Dry, viscous juniper on the palate with a subtly fruity note of rosehips. A finish of herbal pine, peppery juniper and gentle floral notes.
Serving Suggestion / Garnish: Gin & Tonic with a garnish of Orange Peel, or in a Martini or Negroni.
The Gin Guide Review: Distilled with just 3 botanicals, Inshriach Original Gin achieves a wealth of character and depth. When neat, the mouthfeel is dry but full with the notes of pine and peppery juniper that are abundent throughout, while rosehips give charming balance through lightly floral and fruity notes. It is a gin that is refined, focused and classic, while also achieving plentiful characterful and having a fittingly rustic personality. "Our distillery came to fame in 2015 by winning Channel 4's Shed of the Year and this was instrumental in launching our gin. Now we have a new still, a new team and are producing our gins here in the grounds of Inshriach House. Inshriach Estate is in an area of outstanding natural beauty, a few miles from Aviemore and deep in the Cairngorms National Park. Not only is this one of last strongholds of Scottish juniper, it is an area abundant in interesting and edible botany.
