Destilaria Água da Gloria
|
Destilaria Água da Gloria, home to a 500L copper pot still, is located in Paraná in southern Brazil and is the first carbon negative distillery in the country. The distillery was founded by Deir Tozetti, the Brazilian owner of the land on which the distillery sits and the distillery's Master Distiller whose family history in the alcoholic beverages industry stretches back to 1897. After a year of recipe development, they launched Ivaí London Dry Gin in June 2022 along with five flavoured gins. Ivaí Gin is named after the River Ivaí which is nearly 1,000km long and flows less than 1km from the distillery, with several of Ivaí Gin's botanicals being foraged from its banks and valley.

Meet the Makers
"The distillery is state-of-the-art and is brand new. Construction started in 2020 and was finished in 2022. Our guiding principle is to ensure that the distillery is the most sustainable and eco-friendly distillery in Brazil. We have achieved that and we are the first carbon negative distillery in Brazil. Nothing goes to waste and everything is recycled. The distillery is fully solar powered and we even supply our surplus electricity to the national grid. Our bottles, labels and bottle tops are all fully recyclable."
